Web3 Infrastructure Engineer

BlockJoy, a pioneering technology company in the blockchain industry, is searching for a highly skilled and versatile Web3 Infrastructure Engineer with proficiency in scripting and programming to join our engineering team. As an Engineer at BlockJoy, you will be instrumental in ensuring the performance, security, and innovation of our Linux-based infrastructure, empowering us to deliver cutting-edge blockchain solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Implement resilient distributed Linux-based systems to achieve extremely high reliability in a variety of blockchain environments.
• Monitor system performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal uptime and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and implement robust security measures, fortifying our blockchain solutions against potential threats.
• Troubleshoot and resolve intricate technical challenges related to different blockchains
• Extensive experience managing bare metal infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Bash, Python, Rust) to streamline system administration tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
• Onboard new blockchain protocols to the BlockJoy platform.
• Create, modify, and optimize programs to facilitate specific tasks and improve system performance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, providing insights and recommendations to enhance our infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven track record as a Web3 Infrastructure Engineer or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of deep hands-on experience in blockchain ecosystems.
• Strong proficiency in deploying, managing and troubleshooting various blockchains such as Avalanche, BSC, Celo, Ethereum, Fantom, Optimism, Polygon, Osmosis and Axelar.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols, services, and firewall configurations.
• Experience with virtualization technologies.
• Extensive scripting experience with Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Rust, Python or Go, with the ability to develop and optimize programs.
• In-depth knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures on blockchain ecosystems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.  
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to work effectively in an all remote team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with distributed storage systems and blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, Polkadot).
• Experience optimizing blockchain infrastructure for max performance and throughput.
• Industry certifications such as RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer), LFCS (Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator), or equivalent.
• Experience with management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Salt.
